1. Required account storage
Twerity uses a session cookie in standard web browsers and tab-scoped storage for some sign-in flows. These mechanisms are used for authentication, account security and the service you request; they are not advertising profiles.
| Storage | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
twerity_session cookie | Authenticates requests to the account API. It is HttpOnly and uses secure transport in production. | Current maximum session lifetime: 30 days. Signing out, account security changes or server revocation can end it earlier. |
twerity-pi-session-v1 session storage | Maintains a Pi Browser session within the current tab and configured web/API origin. | Until sign-out, clearing the tab’s storage or ending that tab session, subject to server session expiry. |
twerity-social-pending-v1 session storage | Temporarily connects an external sign-in or account-linking callback to the flow you started. | The flow is accepted only within its short expiry window, currently up to 10 minutes; completed or invalid flows are cleared. |
twerity-referral-invitation-v1 session storage | Remembers an optional invitation while you complete account creation. | Current tab session or until the invitation is cleared or consumed. |
Some purchase request identifiers are also kept in memory to safely retry a request during the current page session. They help avoid duplicate orders and are not evidence that a payment is complete. Cookies and storage from Google or Pi sign-in and hosted payment checkout are controlled by those providers on their own services.
Signed-in requests also send limited first-party product activity to Twerity: daily use, opening Persona and fixed client-error categories. The server associates those records with your account to measure feature use and reliability. This uses the existing authenticated account connection; it does not add a cross-site analytics cookie or send private memories, media or feedback context to an advertising SDK.
2. Optional Google advertising storage
AdSense placements are limited to selected public informational pages. In Android, AdMob interstitials may appear after ordinary daily answers starting with the fourth earning session. Google UMP stores advertising choices on the device; a local account-scoped record prevents duplicate daily-session displays. Advertising requests are permitted only after the applicable consent check. The app does not send your private answers, memories or Persona conversations to the ad SDK.
When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may place or read cookies, use local storage and web beacons, and process network or device identifiers for ad delivery, measurement and invalid-traffic protection. The precise technologies depend on the active advertising configuration and the consent choices presented to you.
Where applicable, a consent-management message will identify the purposes and advertising partners and let you accept, refuse or adjust optional choices. Twerity does not use your private reflections or conversations as AdSense targeting data. Refusing optional advertising consent does not turn off storage required to run an account action you request.

3. Your controls
Sign out to end your active Twerity session. You can also remove cookies or site storage in your browser settings; doing so may sign you out, interrupt an unfinished sign-in flow or remove an invitation saved in the tab. It does not delete your account data from Twerity’s server.
When ads are running, use the available advertising privacy controls to change or withdraw optional consent. Browser privacy settings and My Ad Center provide additional controls. Blocking cookies can affect external sign-in or payment providers independently of Twerity.
This notice does not use a homemade “accept all” banner as a substitute for the consent platform required by Google’s publisher rules. Required account storage and advertising choices are separate.
